3 Ways to make your skincare work better

Often times a professional will tell you consistency is key, but we all know the real world can get in the way...SO let's be honest...let us help you create a plan that works for you. Provide you the tools that help your skin glow.

  1. Don’t force a skincare regime you won’t keep. Instead, let your skincare products work with your lifestyle; the key to your skincare working for you is consistency. Usually, your treatment products are applied at night, and protection products are applied in the morning. But, if you are more consistent applying skincare in the morning, then do it all in the morning! Likewise, if you are more consistent with your skincare in the evening, then do it all in the evening. Your skincare professional can tell you in which order to apply the products, and of course, you don’t need to apply SPF at night. A good rule of thumb is to wait a few minutes in between applications of layers, unless otherwise directed.

  2. Don’t be intimidated by medical grade skincare at your doctor’s office or medical spa. The cost really isn’t as much as you would think because the products generally last a few months, if not longer. Medical skincare is more concentrated and much more effective. You apply less product and don’t have to purchase it as often as “over- the- counter” items that aren’t nearly as effective. Plus, you have a licensed skincare professional helping you find the products that are right for you.

  3. Get a REAL skin care consultation! A professionally licensed aesthetician can really help to put you in the right skin care for your specific needs. She or he can answer questions you have, and offer suggestions for you to think about. There is a lot of product hype out there and this is a good way to sift through fads, and sometimes, you can get a free consultation with a purchase…just ask!
