What is microneedling?
Also known as: Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
Microneedling is a superficial and noninvasive, in-office treatment where a small tool punctures the top layer of your skin with tiny needles, creating micro-injuries that stimulate your skin’s healing response and boost its natural collagen and elastin production. It helps reduce acne scars, improve skin tone and texture, reduce pore size and reduce stretch marks.

What microneeding costs.
Microneedling is $300 each treatment. It is an additional $400 to add Platelet Rich Plasma, for a combination treatment often called a vampire facial.
What to expect during the procedure?
Numbing cream is applied to the treatment area 30-45 minutes prior to treatment, we use a handheld device, a Pro Cell microneedling device, with short, micro needles to make pinpricks in the skin’s surface. Then we apply a calming serum or optional PRP to boost healing.
What is PRP?
Microneedling can be combined with topical platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for a more potent treatment often called a vampire facial. It’s more expensive but has big benefits, especially for treating acne scars. PRP is packed with growth factors that encourage your skin to regenerate, so you’ll get a bigger boost of collagen and elastin.
What to expect after treatment?
The treated skin will have slight redness, swelling, and sensitivity for 3-5 days. Most patients repeat treatment annually or twice a year to maintain results.
Results do depend on your provider’s level of experience so know that you are working with only the best aestheticians at Plastic Surgery Specialists who use the best technology on the market. And please don’t try this at home, DIY kits can be very damaging to the skin and cause permanent scarring.
